Free Decorating – Colored Vases
Liven up clear vases and add color to your room based on your moods. Just add a couple food coloring to the water in the vase. The colored water shows nicely through the vase and you now have a designer touch for something you already have on hand in your house. You can also experiment with mixing colors. Added bonus you don’t have to wait till Easter to play with food coloring.

Do you leave the water in the vase the whole time? I would be afraid my cat would turn this over and then I would have a mess.

I ahve cats too. The trick is to not use so much ffod coloring it would stain anything. With cats placement is also important. I never put vases like this where I have carpet.
